The Estornino (Spanish for Starling) has one foot in our premium six string guitar camp and one in the Blues Plank camp. Borrowing the single piece New Zealand Pine body feature from the BO Blues Planks and with a nice resonant Mount Ash neck, it makes for a nice light weight but resonant and responsive guitar, suitable for a range of pickup combinations.

  • Neck: Mountain Ash with Sheoak fretboard and medium jumbo frets and a bone nut.

  • Body: Single piece New Zealand Pine (Ash optional $20 extra).
  • Pickups: Mini-humbuckers, P90s, gold foils. *Note* the mini-humbuckers shown in the demos below turned out to be a bit harsh and we now have other options.
  • Electrics: CTS pots, treble bleed, 3 way switch. *Note* 3 way switch is now standard, the 4 way switch shown in the demo is optional.
  • Hardware: Gotoh tuners and bridge.
  • Finish: Stained or natural oil finish.
  • Price: $1,250 to $1,400.
